ASTC Travel Passport
Two circles.One way in.
Independent summary of the public ASTC Passport policies. Confirm details at astc.org/passport and with the venue you plan to visit.
You are in when both are true
- The venue is more than 90 miles in a straight line from the science center where you are a member.
- The venue is more than 90 miles in a straight line from your primary residence.
Distance is as the crow flies, not driving distance. A venue 80 miles away by highway can still sit inside the circle.
What you get
Free general admission. Individual memberships cover the named cardholder. Dual covers two people. Family typically covers up to two adults and four children — each venue writes its own policy.
Special exhibits, planetariums, large-screen theaters, and store discounts are usually not included.
What to pack
- Physical or digital membership card from your home museum.
- Photo ID. Venues marked “ID” will ask for proof of residence.
There is no universal ASTC membership database. If you forget the card, they do not have to let you in.
This app
Outside 90 is not affiliated with ASTC. The venue list is taken from the official May 1–October 31, 2026 participant PDF. Coordinates are geocoded from published addresses, so a museum a hair over or under 90 miles should be verified with a map measure before you travel.
